Coming soon: Compare and copy location settings in Dutchie E-Commerce

This article explains the location settings compare and copy tool in Dutchie E-Commerce. It is intended for anyone who manages settings across multiple locations. This tool is available to some customers now and will be rolling out to all customers shortly.

The location settings compare and copy tool lets you compare a setting at your current location against the same setting at all of your other locations, then copy that setting to one or more locations in a single action. The tool appears as a magnifying glass icon next to individual settings in several areas of Dutchie Backoffice, including the store menu, checkout advanced options, and store info settings.

When you open the tool for a given setting, the system uses your current location as the reference point and shows you which of your other locations match that setting and which do not. From there, you can select the locations you want to update and sync the setting to them at once.

For businesses with many locations, this tool reduces the manual work of checking and updating the same setting one location at a time. It is useful during implementation, when you need multiple new locations to match an existing configuration, and for ongoing support, when you need to confirm that all locations are configured consistently or roll out a setting change across several stores.

Before you begin

  • The tool appears only next to settings that support comparison and copy functionality. Not every setting in the store menu, checkout advanced options, or store info sections will show the icon.
  • Syncing a setting to selected locations overwrites the existing value for that setting at those locations. Confirm you have selected the correct locations before syncing.

Compare a setting across locations

  1. Sign in to Dutchie E-Commerce and go to the settings area that contains the setting you want to compare, such as the store menu, checkout advanced options, or store info.
  2. Find the setting you want to review. If the tool is available for that setting, you will see a magnifying glass icon next to it.
  3. Click the magnifying glass icon to open the compare and copy modal.

  4. The system uses your current location as the reference point and displays the value of that setting at each of your other locations.
  5. Review which locations match your reference location's value and which locations have a different value.

Copy a setting to other locations

  1. With the compare and copy modal open for the setting you want to update, select the locations you want to sync.

  2. Click Sync selected locations.
  3. The system updates the setting at each selected location to match the value at your reference location.
