Sync Onfleet route updates in the Dutchie Register

Delivery operators using Dutchie's Onfleet integration can use Onfleet's route optimization features to determine the most efficient delivery routes. To support this workflow, Dutchie allows you to sync route updates made in Onfleet back into the Dutchie Register. This feature also syncs changes to driver and vehicle assignments when tasks are reassigned in Onfleet.

Enable route-sequence sync in Dutchie

  1. In the Dutchie Backoffice, go to Settings > Integrations > Onfleet.
  2. Set Sync route sequence from Onfleet to Yes.
  3. Click Save.

Verify matching driver and vehicle data

  1. Confirm that driver names match exactly between Dutchie and Onfleet.
  2. Confirm that license plate numbers and vehicle details match between Dutchie and Onfleet.
  3. Make sure any future driver or vehicle updates are reflected consistently in both platforms.

Why this matters: Dutchie relies on matching driver and vehivle information to identify which Onfleet tasks belong to which delivery route.

Push deliveries from Dutchie to Onfleet

  1. From the Routes screen in the Dutchie Register, click the ellipsis (...) and then Edit route.

  2. Mark delivery orders as Ready for Delivery.

  3. Confirm the orders are sent to Onfleet as tasks.
  4. Verify the tasks appear in Onfleet under the correct driver.
  5. The delivery list from Dutchie is now available in Onfleet for route optimization.

Make changes in Onfleet

In Onfleet, rearrange the delivery tasks into the desired route order and/or change driver or vehicle assignments, using Onfleet’s route optimization tools as needed.

Sync the updated route sequence back into Dutchie

  1. Return to the Dutchie Register after the route order has been updated in Onfleet.
  2. From the ellpsis (...), select Sync from Onfleet.

  3. Dutchie shows the current delivery order from Onfleet, along with any driver or vehicle changes. Click Sync route to sync the changes to Dutchie.

  4. Dutchie automatically updates the route order, driver, and vehicle to match Onfleet.

Notes

  • Do not rely on manual drag-and-drop in Dutchie once this sync is enabled; Onfleet should control the route order.
  • Driver names must match exactly between Dutchie and Onfleet or the sync may not map correctly.
  • Vehicle/license plate information should also match to ensure reassignment updates correctly.
  • Always verify the final route order in Onfleet before syncing back into Dutchie.
  • If tasks are reassigned to a new driver in Onfleet, confirm the change is intentional before syncing.

Tips

  • Standardize driver naming conventions across both systems to reduce sync issues.
  • Keep vehicle records updated in both platforms so reassignment updates are accurate.
  • Use Onfleet as the primary tool for route optimization, then sync once instead of making repeated manual changes in Dutchie.
  • After syncing, do a quick visual check in Dutchie to confirm the order and assignments match Onfleet.
  • Train dispatchers to treat Onfleet as the final step for route sequencing before delivery execution.
