Move entire packages or portions of packages between rooms and subrooms and multiple packages in bulk with the Move feature in Dutchie POS.
Caution!
Depending on your permissions and settings, you may also have the ability to move packages to another location using the Location dropdown. If you're integrated with Metrc or BioTrack, a manifest is required to move cannabis packages to another location. Admins can enable a setting to prevent moving cannabis packages to another location without a manifest.
Things to consider
- This function is primarily intended for moving inventory between rooms in the same facility. Moving packages between facilities will not create a new manifest record in Dutchie POS or in your state traceability system, which can lead to compliance issues as noted above.
- You will need to set up rooms or subrooms to move inventory to.
- You can sync room movements to your state traceability system by enabling:
- Settings > Integrations > BioTrack > Settings tab > Report Room Movements, or
- Settings> Integrations > Metrc > Settings tab > Maintain Rooms.
- Related permissions:
- Move Inventory allows moving inventory between rooms and subrooms in the same location only.
- Move Inventory Location allows moving inventory between locations without a manifest.
- Under Settings > Location, enabling Show Option to Bypass State System displays an option to not report inventory movements to the traceability system.
- Dutchie Support can enable a setting that requires an expiration date for inventory moves. When enabled, inventory without an expiration date cannot be moved, even between rooms.
Move inventory in bulk
- Go to Products > Inventory.
- Select the packages you want to move from the inventory table.
- Click the Bulk actions dropdown and select Move.
- Select the room you want to move the inventory to from the Room dropdown.
Note: The Location dropdown is set to the Location you are currently working in. - Click Move.
Move inventory individually
- Go to Products > Inventory.
- Find the SKU of the inventory you want to move in the inventory table.
- Click the three dots … on the right and select Move.
- Enter the quantity you want to move from this package. Moving a partial package will create another line in the inventory list showing the same SKU and Package ID with a different room assignment.
- Select the room you want to move the inventory to from the Room dropdown.
