This article will teach you how to add a new strain, search for and sort strains, and delete strains.
Strains are a key data point for cannabis operations. Strains are required to operate cultivation and processing facilities and play a large role in product marketing and branding with dispensaries.
Use Strains to add new strains, edit and delete strains, and search for strains in your network. To see the Strains tool go to Products > Strains.
Strains are associated with both Products in the Catalog and with Batches at the Inventory/Cultivation level.
Add a new strain
- Click the Add strain button.
- On the New Strain page, enter the strain information for the following fields:
- Name
- Description
- Abbreviation
- Type
- External ID
- Click Save.
Search for and sort strains
Search for a strain
- In the search bar, type a keyword or phrase to search for a vendor based on:
- Name
- Type
- Abbreviation
- Description
- The search functionality is reactive. As you type keywords, the list of strains filters for your search.
Sort and filter strain list
- Click a column header to sort the list in ascending or descending order for the following fields:
- Name
- Type
- Abbreviation
- Description
- Optional: Select strain type from the Type dropdown to filter the list of strains by type.
- Optional: Click the column name again to sort from descending to ascending order.
Delete a strain
- Search for the strain you want to delete.
- Click the ellipsis … at the end of the row.
- Select Delete.
Note: After a strain is deleted it can’t be recovered. Deleted strains must be created again for future use.
