Check in a guest at the Dutchie POS Register

Learn how to check in a guest at the Dutchie POS register.

When a guest is checked in, they are assigned an order number and added to the Guest List at the POS, and you can create an order for them.

Things to consider

  • To check in a guest, the guest profile must already exist at the POS or a profile will need to be created. 

Check in a new customer

Click Create Guest to manually create a new customer profile.

Check in a guest by scanning their ID

Select the Scan ID button and then scan the small barcode on the back of the customer's ID. This is usually a driver's license or state ID card but could also be a medical marijuana ID card (MMJID) in some states. 

Depending on your settings, scanning an ID may automatically check in the guest, or you may need to click Check in after scanning. If the guest doesn't already have a customer profile, scanning an ID may also automatically create a new profile, or prompt you to create one manually.

Check in a guest manually

  1. From the Guest List or Customers page, search the guest's name and press Enter
  2. Select the guest and click the Check In button on the guest pane.
  3. Checked-in guests are added to the Guest List.
