Learn how to troubleshoot issues you may experience with your A&D scale.

Remove and reconnect serial cable

  1. Remove and reconnect the serial cable connected to the scale, ensuring the locking pegs are fully secured.
  2. Remove and reconnect the serial cable and serial to USB cable, again ensuring the locking pegs are fully secured.
  3. Inspect both cables for signs of damage, as damaged cables may need to be replaced.
  4. Ensure you're using a compatible serial cable.

Power-cycle the register

  • The Register Terminal (Elo device) can be power-cycled following the steps detailed at Register Terminal Troubleshooting. The scale should be power-cycled by disconnecting from the power source for 30 seconds before reconnecting.
  • For other devices, refer to the manufacturer's instructions for power-cycling.
