Connect the Zebra label printer to your Dutchie Register and install the label roll.
Things to know
This article assumes a direct USB connection between your Zebra label printer and Dutchie Register. Network connection via PrintNode is also supported if you want to connect multiple registers or computers to the same label printer.
Connect printer and install label roll
- Unbox the label printer and find the included USB cable.
- Connect the narrower end of the USB cable to the label printer.
- Connect the wider end to your register device. If using a Dutchie Register terminal, route the cable through the cable management slot and clip.
- Connect the power cable to the back of the label printer, and then connect the other end to a power outlet.
- Open the label printer by sliding the yellow latches on each side.
- Remove and discard the outer layer of the label roll. Place the roll on the yellow holders inside the paper bay.
- Route the end of the roll under the yellow guides and past the print head at the front of the printer.
- Pull the end of the label roll up to see the back side, then align the movable media sensor based on your label type.
- For label rolls with no markings, align the sensor to the default center position.
- For label rolls with markings, notches, or holes, align the sensor to the center of the markings.
- Close the printer, pressing until you hear a click.
- Press and hold the power button until the green status light turns on.
