Add cannabinoids to your Dutchie Ecommerce menu items
What are Cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are the naturally occurring compounds found in the cannabis plant. The two most well-known cannabinoids are THC and CBD, but there are a variety of others. We can now automatically pull cannabinoid info as well as Total Active Cannabinoids (TAC) from LeafLogix onto the Dutchie product details.
“TAC” Total active cannabinoids represent the total amount of active cannabinoids, typically at the time of lab testing. This total of active cannabinoids considers all of the active compounds that the product holds.
Adding Cannabinoids to Your Dutchie menu
There are currently two ways to add cannabinoid information to your menu items. For LeafLogix users, cannabinoids set in the Lab Result Details in LeafLogix itself will pull into Dutchie automatically, as a part of our integration. For everyone else, cannabinoid information can be added manually to the Dutchie product info.
Syncing Cannabinoids to Your Products via LeafLogix
To access cannabinoid details in your LeafLogix account, you'll head to Products > Inventory > "Specific Product" > Lab Results (beaker icon).
Once in the Lab Results page, scroll down to the Cannabinoids section, where you will see the various cannabinoids and the section for TAC -
Data from this section in LeafLogix will determine what will automatically populate and show within the “TAC” bubble at the top of the product alongside THC and CBD, as well as the Cannabinoid table on the item.
These values can be added to LeafLogix manually by updating each cannabinoid individually, or if you have the product's lab results, you can upload those via the Upload Lab Results option which will automatically add cannabinoids and terpenes to your product.
Adding cannabinoids manually
Head over to your Dutchie admin menu and click on the product you'd like to adjust. At the bottom of the product details, underneath the Effects, you'll see an "Add cannabinoids" button -
From here, start searching for the cannabinoid and add a value for the product. These cannabinoid values can be added as a percentage, as milligrams, or as mg/g.
Manually adding cannabinoids with no value
Do you know that a cannabinoid exists in a product, but aren't entirely sure just how much exists on that product? For maximum flexibility, you are able to add a cannabinoid to a product without having to fill in a value. For those products, we will notate the cannabinoid on the consumer menu, but the value will be left blank -
Note: Note that if you are integrated with LeafLogix as your POS and you have a "0" values in cannabinoid fields within LeafLogix, that will result in the cannabinoid displaying on your product with no value similar to the above example. If this is not desirable, remove the "0" value within Leaflogix to ensure that field is blank and that particular cannabinoid will no longer display on the product within Dutchie.
Cannabinoids on the consumer menu
Similar to terpenes, cannabinoids will appear on the consumer menu underneath the product's effects and terpenes:
FAQ
Can I add additional cannabinoids that are not found in Dutchie or make changes to the existing cannabinoids?
- No, these are standardized
Can I adjust the cannabinoids from mg to either mg/g or as a percentage?
- Yep! Just select the mg or % toggle in the cannabinoid modal
Why isn't the green bar filled in to show a value next to the cannabinoid on the consumer facing menu?
- In this instance, the product probably doesn't have a value for that particular cannabinoid on the Dutchie Admin Menu. If you know how much of a cannabinoid exists in the product, head to that product on your Admin Menu and select "Edit Cannabinoids".
