Learn how to set up an integration between Google Analytics (GA4) and Dutchie E-Commerce.
Before you begin
You will need to do the following things before you can set up your Google Analytics (G4) + Dutchie E-Commerce integration:
- You will need permission to edit and manage integrations in Dutchie E-Commerce
- You will need access to the administrative functions of the website where you are hosting your embedded menu
- You will need a Google account. You can use an existing account that they want to associate with the dispensary’s GA4 data, or you can set one up for this purpose.
Set up your Google Analytics (GA4) + Dutchie E-Commerce integration

Set up your GA4 property
- You will need to set up your GA4 property by following the instructions on Google’s site. Read How to get Started with Google Analytics 4, and follow the option that applies to your situation.

Locate your Measurement ID
- To enable this functionality, visit your Google Analytics (GA4) admin, and locate your Measurement ID (GA4).
- Check that you have the desired account and property selected.
- In the Property column, click Data Streams, then click your web data stream. Your “G-” Measurement ID appears in the upper right portion of the panel. (GA4 Measurement ID format: G-LJT000EM00)
- To enable this functionality, visit your Google Analytics (GA4) admin, and locate your Measurement ID (GA4).

Enter your Measurement ID in Dutchie E-Commerce
- Go to Dutchie E-Commerce admin Settings > Integrations > Google Analytics
- Click connect and enter the Measurement ID into the Google Analytics ID field
Set Up Cross Domain Tracking for GA4
Dutchie offers support for enhanced user tracking referred to as Cross-domain tracking. Cross-domain tracking makes it possible for you to track a customer's source when Dutchie E-Commerce is embedded on a 3rd-party website.
For Google Analytics 4 (GA4), you will need to set up cross-domain measurement by following Google's "Set up cross-domain measurement via the Admin" guide.

I am using Google Tag Manager. Will I need to make any changes to my Dutchie integration?
No. You will not need to make any changes to your Google Tag Manager Integration (GTM). However, you will need to ensure that your GTM instance is routing events to Google Analytics 4. -
How do I know if I am Universal Analytics or GA4 with Dutchie?
The Dutchie Google Analytics Integration uses a Google Analytics ID. If that ID starts with ‘UA-’ it is a Universal Analytics token and not a GA4 Token.

When was Universal Analytics deprecated?
Universal Analytics was deprecated on July 1, 2023. Analytics 360 will stop processing data on July 1, 2024.
