Manage individual lab results in Dutchie POS

Add Lab Results through any Package associated with the tested Batch using Dutchie POS.

Things to know

  • Lab results can be fetched from Metrc or BioTrack or entered using Confident Cannabis QR codes. The lab data wizard is also handy for updates.
  • To use the Fetch feature, the Use Lab Result Units feature must be enabled for your location by Dutchie support.
  • Note that harvest date, sample date, and tested date cannot be fetched from Metrc. Be sure to manually enter these fields or include them in a CSV upload.
  • You can set default units of measure for the lab results of both cannabinoids and terpenes under Settings > Location > Defaults. Note, however, when fetching lab results from Metrc these defaults are overridden and Dutchie POS uses whatever unit of measure exists in Metrc for each package.

Testing results are shared across batches, so make sure that your package records carry the correct batch association before adding any testing information.

The Lab results page is the source of information commonly required on labels for state compliance reporting and maintaining quality control. The entry form is broken into six parts:

  • Lab result details: general information about the batch. Note that the Flower equivalent field here will not impact compliance integrations.
  • Cannabinoids: the main active compounds of cannabis.
  • Terpenes: the label tool allows for the automated printing of the top three entries here.
  • Custom entries: you can use this section to include any other required lab results on your labels.
  • Contaminants: none, pass, or fail
  • Additional details: enter a URL, scan a QR code, or upload a file provided by a third-party app which then auto-populates lab results.

Change the THC level on individual packages

Sometimes you will have multiple packages with the same THC level and you need to change the level on an individual package.

  • Go to Products > Inventory > Search for the item > Lab Results.
  • You will be presented with the option to manually change the THC details or to upload the lab results file.
