Upload multiple products at once using bulk upload (CSV or XML) when you receive inventory in Dutchie POS.
You can receive inventory in bulk by uploading a CSV or XML file provided by the vendor or exported from your state traceability system. The benefit of this method is that it allows you to upload several products at once.
Washington state users can receive inventory with a JSON file or a URL.
Things to consider
- You must upload a dual pricing file in order for both the Med and Rec price fields to map into the receive details.
- You will need to map the Product Name field and the Quantity field when you upload a file.
Upload a file
- Go to Products > Inventory.
-
From the Source dropdown, choose Bulk CSV upload.
- Click Choose file to upload a CSV or XML file.
-
Map (match) the column headers in the file to the corresponding inventory fields in Dutchie POS.
- Select a Default Unit from the dropdown. This is the unit of measure that will be used if the import tool can't determine an item's unit of measure based on the file import.
-
Click Save Mapping and Preview to save the column/field mappings so you can apply them to future uploads of the same type, or click Preview to verify the mappings without saving them. If you don't save the mappings, you'll have to manually match the columns and inventory fields each time you receive.
- On the Preview Data page, click Import.
- Edit or add items as needed on the Receive inventory page.
- Click Receive. It may take several seconds to complete this action. Avoid clicking Receive multiple times as this could cause a duplicate manifest in Dutchie POS.
Print labels
After clicking Receive, a Packages successfully received dialog appears, from which you can print labels for the inventory you just received.
- Click Print labels.
- Choose a Label type.
- Choose a Printer.
- Enter the Quantity of labels you want to print for each package. Enter 0 if you don't need labels for a certain package.
- Click Print preview to download a PDF file that shows a preview of your labels.
- Click Print to print all labels.
You can also print labels later for any inventory item:
- Go to Products > Inventory.
- Find an item in the inventory table and click the ellipsis on the right.
- Select Print labels.
