Enable VCCB traceability features

  1. In the Backoffice, go to Settings > Integrations > VCCB. If you don't see the VCCB option, contact Dutchie support to have it enabled.
  2. Turn on the Enabled toggle.
  3. Set the Environment to Production for live reporting (DEV is for testing).

  4. Enter your License Number exactly as it appears in VCCB:
    vccb
  5. In the VCCB portal, be sure to submit an API Access Request. VCCB must approve this request for Dutchie POS to connect to VCCB, and this approval may take a few days.

If you see the error message in the Register "Error with integrated system: Some of the products in the cart are not associated with a VCCB Registration", it could be because you have not submitted an API access request, or it hasn't been approved yet.

Inventory setup

Each cannabis product available for sale in Vermont is assigned a Product Registration ID. This is a universal ID used by all licensees (not specific to a batch, harvest, or package/lot).

New products that don’t already have an assigned registration ID can be registered through the VCCB portal under Product Registration. This is typically done by “licensed establishments” – cultivators, manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, or integrated licensees – but can also be done by “unlicensed establishments,” or registered patients providing products to a licensed establishment.

Each Product Registration ID from VCCB needs to be entered in the External ID field on the corresponding Catalog product in Dutchie POS:

Because the External ID is required for automated sales reporting, we recommend setting this field as Required if Cannabis under Products > Configure > Fields in the Catalog section:

Reporting

Dutchie’s Vermont traceability integration supports automated reporting for sales only. Users should process sales as normal in the Dutchie Register. No action is required in the Vermont Cannabis Control Board (VCCB) system for sales.

Until further notice, Vermont users should complete all other actions in Dutchie POS, then manually complete the same/equivalent action in VCCB under Inventory Tracking Reporting.

  • Returns (logged as a sale, but with a negative quantity and positive currency values)
  • Receiving (called “acquisition” in VCCB) and transfers
  • Loss/adjustment of cannabis (will later be updated to a general adjustment, but currently only down adjusts)
  • All cultivation (reporting only required once every two weeks)
  • Production/manufacturer reporting
