Manage check-in settings for scanned IDs in Dutchie POS Register

Dutchie POS has optional settings that can automatically create new customer profiles and check customers in when you scan their ID. Learn more in this article.

To manage check-in settings, navigate to Settings > Location in the Backoffice of Dutchie POS.

  1. Open Dutchie Register and click Scan ID.
  2. Scan the two-dimensional barcode on the back of the consumer or patient's identification. 
  3. Once you're ready to check in the guest, click Check in and a success message will appear on the screen.
  4. Now the customer is available inside your guest list and you can proceed with your normal transactional workflows. 

Auto-create profile disabled

  1. Open Dutchie Register and click Scan ID.
  2. Scan the two-dimensional barcode on the back of the consumer or patient's identification. 
  3. Once the scan is verified a Pass or Fail indication will appear on the screen for both the DOB and I.D. expiration for the patient or consumer.
  4. Click Create New Profile to add this customer to your active customer list.

  1. Open Dutchie Register and click Scan ID.
  2. Scan the two-dimensional barcode on the back of the consumer or patient's identification. 
  3. Once the scan is verified, a Pass or Fail indication will appear on the screen for both the DOB and I.D. expiration for the patient or consumer.
  4. Please note if any details fail for ID expiration or underage customer a pop-up will appear alerting you of these details before checking in the guest.
