Dutchie POS | Dutchie E-Commerce - Manage inconsistencies in product unit weight

Certain price settings affect product unit weight and pricing in Dutchie E-Commerce. This article outlines key backoffice settings to help you manage inconsistencies in product unit weight.

Things to know

  • Menus are set to sort from low to high pricing based on the lowest product weight.
For example, if a product's lowest weight is 1/8 Oz. and priced at $40, and another product is 1/2 Oz. priced at $55, Dutchie will show the 1/8 oz. above the 1/2 oz.

Pricing: Pricing can be found in multiple places in the Backoffice both on the Inventory item and the Catalog. If a “Bulk Flower” product has no pricing tier data, the Dutchie POS integration will pull the price from the inventory-level details by default but can be set up to pull from the Catalog. Note: This configuration is typically set up during implementation. If you want to change this, reach out to Dutchie Support.

Prepack Pricing Tiers: This is supported if the “Build weights from the price tiers” setting is checked in the integration settings. Price Tiers will only work with Flower and Pre-Roll items.

For Price Tiers to work correctly, they need to be configured with two rules in mind:

  1. The Tier cannot have a Null or 0 value for the Weight. (The tier cannot start with a weight of 0, a weight of 0.1 will work).
  2. There must be more than one Tier listed.

Location-Specific Pricing:  Since Catalogs are shared across multi-location accounts, there is a section of the Catalog details for Location-Specific Product Details. There are options to set a fixed location-specific price or a location-specific pricing tier. If pricing is being pulled from the Catalog, the location-specific price will override the price when the data is sent and automatically populated in Dutchie E-Commerce.
