Configure Dynamic Delivery staging rooms, inventory kits, and packing lists in Dutchie POS

With Dynamic Delivery, each vehicle functions as a sales floor, meaning each vehicle must have a designated inventory room in Dutchie POS. You can also configure an optional inventory staging room, create rooms or subrooms for inventory kits, and create packing lists to help with restocking.

Before you begin

  • Note that some of these features require additional subscription fees. Contact Dutchie Support or your CSM to learn more and get started with Dynamic Delivery.
  • Complete the initial setup steps for Dynamic Delivery before configuring staging rooms, kits, and packing lists.
  • Users must have the View Inventory Kits and Edit Inventory Kits user permissions to access these features.

Create delivery staging rooms and inventory kits

When you configured your delivery vehicles, a corresponding inventory room was also created for each vehicle.

Depending on your workflow, you can create an intermediary staging room from which you can restock inventory kits (subrooms) for each vehicle, or you can skip the staging room and associate kits directly with a vehicle's inventory room.

Add a staging room

  1. Go to Settings > Rooms.
  2. On the Rooms tab, click Add room.
  3. Enter a room name.
  4. Under Room type, check the boxes for Inventory room and Delivery inventory room.
  5. Click Save.

  3. Enter a subroom name and select either your staging room or a vehicle room from the dropdown.

  5. Click Add

Create tags for kit inventory

To start, evaluate your existing tags in Configure > Tags. You may need to create new tags based on how you will structure your inventory kit, see Create tags in the Backoffice

  • Example: Edibles, Pre Packed Flower, Live Resin etc.
  • Consider what variety of products you want to provide while staying within vehicle inventory thresholds.

Create packing lists for rooms and restocking

Packing lists allow you to determine the inventory you need to fill a kit. Creating packing lists helps fulfillment teams understand inventory allocation for kits. To create a packing list:

  1. Go to Products > Configure.
  2. Select the Packing lists tab.
  3. Click Add list.
  4. Enter a List name and click Add items to add to the packing list. Select a tag and a quantity for each tag.
  5. Click Save.
