Product Naming & Weights
Don’t combine weighted products
By default, when a customer orders two different weights of the same product in (e.g., 3.5g and 7g), they appear as separate line items in Dutchie E-Commerce but combine into one line item when the order syncs to Dutchie POS.
Enabling "Don't combine weighted products" prevents this so the different weights are shown as separate line items in Dutchie POS.
This setting applies to all weighted products. Combining weights of some products but not others is not directly supported, but as a workaround, you can alter product names and/or category assignments in Dutchie POS so the different weights are treated as separate products. For example: create separate POS products for 3.5g and 7g variants and/or separate product categories (associated with the same master category) for different weight variants. In this case, also enable "Don't remove weights from product names" below.
This setting is overridden by the POS integration setting Build Weight by Price Tiers, which can only be turned on or off by Dutchie Support and shows additional weights on your menu based on price tiers configured in your integrated POS.
Don’t remove weights from product names
By default, Dutchie E-Commerce removes weights from product names when more than one weight is available and combines the different weights into a single product listing. This setting maintains weights in product names unless combined into a single menu item and is intended for Canadian dispensaries that must adhere to precise naming conventions.
This setting is typically used in conjunction with Don’t combine weighted products.
This setting is overridden by the POS integration setting Build weights from price tiers, which can only be turned on or off by Dutchie Support and shows additional weights on your menu based on price tiers configured in your integrated POS.
Note: This feature scans product names and automatically assigns weights to products where a "weight" is recognized in the product name. If you have a non-cannabis product like an apparel or accessory with a name that includes words that could be read as a weight, then a weight may be automatically listed on the menu next to the price instead of "Each".
For instance, if you have a "Quarter Zip Pullover" listed on your menu, 25g may appear next to the price instead of "Each". You can resolve this by changing the name of the product or by disabling "Don't remove weights from product names."
Search, Discovery & Loyalty
Prioritize Staff Picks in Search Results
Products marked as Staff Pick on the Edit Menu Item screen appear at the top of search results.
Hide out of stock products
Prevents all out of stock products from being discovered anywhere on the menu.
Show other locations carrying this product on product detail pages
Adds an Also available at section to product detail pages listing the other locations in your enterprise that currently have the product in stock, nearest first. Only applies to products shared across locations.
Provide back in stock email notifications
This feature requires integration with Dutchie POS and is not supported for Dutchie Plus menus.
Shows a Notify me when it’s back button on product detail pages when an item is out of stock or below a specified threshold. This allows customers to sign up to receive an email notification when the item is back in stock. If you have a mobile app, these are also sent as Push notifications. Learn more.
Show Loyalty Rewards
Shows loyalty point balances in the navigation bar and the account screen for Dutchie Loyalty, Alpine IQ and Springbig.
Promotions & Compliance
Hide all discount promotions on menu
This feature is not supported for Dutchie Plus menus.
In states like Massachusetts and New York where cannabis discounts cannot be advertised to customers, dispensaries need the option to hide all discount promotions on the menu. This setting shows all discounted prices as if they are full, regular prices.
Use compliance-friendly language for promotions
Replaces "Specials" with "Offers" and "Sale" with "Offer" throughout your menu to comply with state regulations.
Show product urgency messaging on product detail pages and cart
Shows "[Quantity] left in stock - order soon" on product detail pages when there are less than 10 in stock, as well as "[Number] people have this in their cart" on high-demand products.
Ordering Limits
Enable Order Type Modal
Prompts shoppers on their first visit to choose a menu type (recreational or medical) and order type (pickup or delivery) to ensure shoppers are browsing the correct menu offerings for their customer and order type.
If disabled, customers will choose these options at checkout. If a product in their cart is medical-only and they select recreational, or if a product is not available for delivery and they select delivery, those items will need to be removed before placing the order.
Enable Limit Per Customer
Adds a Limit Per Customer dropdown to the Edit Menu Item screen for each product. Unlimited is the default value for each item.
Bypass state purchase limits
By default, market-specific purchase limits are automatically enforced and are not user-configurable. This overrides the default functionality, and in conjunction with Category Limits in the Store Info tab, you can set your own limits for each product category.
Enable autoconfirm
Automatically confirm all incoming orders when at least one Terminal is online. This also turns off audible alerts for new orders. Learn more about autoconfirm.
