Learn how to identify when a Dutchie POS user has overridden standard purchase limits or allotments for individual customers and how to reset them back to standard amounts.
Dutchie POS allows admins to override standard purchase limits and allotments for individual customers at the register. While this may be a valid workaround in limited circumstances, it should generally be avoided as it could result in violations and fines.
Operators in states with overlapping purchase limits such as Arizona, Maine, and Michigan should be particularly careful about overriding individual customer's allotments because this prevents Dutchie POS from enforcing those states' overlapping purchase limits.
Audit and reset customer allotments in the Backoffice
To view all customers whose allotments have been overridden, go to Customers in the Backoffice and click the cog wheel to expose the Allotment Overridden column, which shows a Yes or No for each customer.
You can select Reset customer allotments for an individual customer by clicking the three dots on the right or, you can select multiple profiles and then Bulk actions > Reset customer allotments.
Reset individual customer allotments in the Register
When viewing a customer profile in the Register, a red trash can icon next to Current Allotment indicates that a Dutchie POS user has overridden the customer's or allotment. Click the trash icon to reset the customer's allotment to standard amounts.
