Once you have worked it Dutchie to create your Branded Mobile app, you’ll need to get your customers to start using it. This article includes some Apple resources to help you promote your mobile app and some recommendations from Dutchie to give your customer the best experience on your mobile app.

Enable smart app banners
Smart App Banners allow you to promote your app from your Dutchie Ecommerce site. The banner links directly to your app in the App Store, giving customers the option to easily download the app. You can follow Apple’s smart banner guidance to create a banner for your app. Once your banner is created, see the Customize image banner in Dutchie Ecommerce help center article to add your banner to your Dutchie Ecommerce site.
App Store marketing tools
When you create an app in the App Store, Apple provides you with a Toolbox where you can generate assets such as QR codes, links, badges, and other promotional assets. Your toolbox provides customer links and Apple branded images that link directly to your Branded App in the App Store.
Access marketing toolbox
To access your toolbox:
- Go to your App store marketing tools page.
- Enter your app name in the Find your app search.
- Select your app from the list of icons.
Asset generator
The Asset Generator section of your toolbox includes assets to help you promote specific app milestones like a New Launch, Updates, and New Offers. These designs are good for socials, and come ready-made with color options and image sizing for your intended use. Downloadable assets include Square Post, Story Post, Landscape Banner, Portrait Banner and more.
Use QR codes
QR codes are an effective way to link directly to your app. You can generate and display QR codes in-store, on receipts, and other printed materials. To generate a QR code, access your toolbox (see steps 1-3 above), scroll down to the QR code section, and click the Generate button. Once you generate a QR Code, you can customize the graphic to change the color or include and icon. Download the QR code to add it to digital and printed marketing materials.
Links and badges
Including App Store badges in digital and printed marketing materials is a great way to drive customers to get your app. You can generate badges with embeddable code that leads to your App Store page. Adding

Apple provides several resources that come with guidelines and instructions for promoting your mobile app. It’s important to familiarize yourself with these guidelines to ensure you meet Apple's branding standards.
Send promotion through Dutchie Loyalty and Marketing campaigns
If you are using Dutchie Loyalty and Marketing, the campaign builder is a great way to infuse mobile app promotion into your emails. To create a campaign for your mobile app:
- Go to Marketing > Campaigns.
- Click the Create Campaign button.

In the campaign wizard, follow the steps below to build the campaign:
- Campaign setup - Enter the Campaign name, select Campaign recipients, and Email details, including a subject line, preview text, and choose your sender reply email address. You also have the option to use this address as your reply-to address.
- Template select - Select a curated template or create your email campaign from scratch.
- Build email - Use the drag-and-drop functionality to build your email and populate it with text, buttons, and links. For mobile app users, this s the ideal place to add links to your app, banners, QRs codes, or any other branded resources that direct customers to your app in the App Store, see App store marketing tools.
- Review - Review your email campaign and prepare for sending.
- Once your campaign is built, click the Schedule send button.
- In the Schedule send window, select when you want the email to be sent and click Send or Schedule.
