Metrc onboarding | Configure users, roles, and permissions in Metrc

After receiving Metrc login credentials, add your employees and configure their roles and permissions in Metrc as part of the onboarding process.

  1. Log in to Metrc.
  2. Go to Admin > Employees.

  3. Select either Add Licensed Employees or Add Unlicensed Employees.
    • In New York, select Add Unlicensed Employees.
    • Consult your state regulatory body if you're not sure which option to select for your state, license type, or particular employee.
  4. For licensed employees, enter the person's Employee Lic. Number (state-issued cannabis employee number).

    For unlicensed employees, enter the person's name and birth month and year.

  5. Enter a Notification E-mail address for all employees, regardless of type.
  6. Select View or Manage for each permission, depending on the access level the employee needs. 
  7. For employees to use Metrc Retail ID, the Product Labels permission should be set to Manage.
  8. Repeat for each employee.
