Use this article as an Inventory Manager or Dispensary Manager to troubleshoot why items are disappearing from the Dutchie E-commerce menu while stock is still available within the POS system.
What is the issue?
To prevent overselling, Dutchie uses Quantity Thresholds. If your threshold is set to 5 units, the item will vanish from the website as soon as your POS stock hits 5, even though you still have 5 units physically in the store.
What’s causing the issue?
The threshold settings in the Dutchie Admin are often set too high, or they are compounding with the Low Inventory Threshold set in the POS catalog.
How do I solve the issue?
- Log in to Dutchie Admin and navigate to Settings > Integrations.
- Click on the Settings tab within your POS integration.
- Scroll down to the Quantity Thresholds section and click Edit.
- Adjust the number for each category; set this to 0 if you want to sell until the last item is gone.
- Note: Quantity Thresholds set to 0 could cause items to be oversold before the next menu sync.
- Click Save.
- Items can have different thresholds for online menus versus kiosk menus. If an item is appearing on the kiosk menu but not on the online menu, the Quantity Thresholds is likely the issue.
- Check the Product Catalog in the POS to ensure individual product thresholds are also set to zero.
