Learn how to link products in Dutchie Backoffice to the Dutchie brand catalog, view link status at a glance, and use suggested brand matches to keep your menu accurate.
Dutchie Backoffice includes tools for auditing which products in your catalog are linked to the Dutchie global brand catalog, verifying that each link points to the correct product, and managing your local brands alongside their associated global brand.
When products in your catalog are linked to the global brand catalog, Dutchie automatically populates brand-provided imagery and descriptions on your online menu. These features give your teams clear visibility into link status across the entire catalog without opening each product individually.
Catalog columns, a verified brand indicator, a live menu preview panel, and an editable brand linking workflow reduce manual auditing time and help ensure that what consumers see on your ECommerce menu accurately reflects the correct product.
A suggested brand match feature is also available with a Metrc connection, allowing product detail pages to surface high- and low-confidence match suggestions that you can accept or reject in place.

Add link status and brand catalog columns to the catalog table
Two optional columns are available in the catalog table in Dutchie Backoffice.
Link status displays a green checkmark for any catalog item that is linked to a product in the global brand catalog, and a gray checkmark for items that are not linked. This lets you scan your catalog at a glance to identify unlinked products without opening each item individually.
Brand catalog product displays the brand-defined product name for any linked item, as it appears in the Dutchie global brand catalog. This is useful during audits when the product name in your local catalog differs from the brand's official product name.
To add these columns to your catalog table:
- Go to Products > Catalog in Dutchie Backoffice.
- Click the cog icon to, open the column selector in the catalog table.
- Search for and select Link status, then add it to your view.
- Search for and select Brand catalog product, then add it to your view.
- Scroll to the right in the catalog table to view the new columns.
Note: you may also want to enable the Brand column from the same selector. The Brand column displays a verified icon next to any brand name tied to the Dutchie global brand catalog.
Link a catalog product to the global brand catalog
Linking a product connects your local catalog entry to the brand's listing in the Dutchie global brand catalog. Once linked, brand-provided imagery and descriptions populate on your online menu for that item.
To link a product:
- Go to Products > Catalog and open the catalog item you want to link.
- In the product edit view, locate the Brand field and select the brand for this product.
- If the brand is verified by Dutchie, it will appear with a verified icon in the brand dropdown. Select the verified brand.
- With a verified brand selected, a product linking panel will appear. The panel displays the name of the product you have open at the top for reference.
- Browse or search the brand's catalog listings and select the matching product.
- Save the product. The item is linked to the global brand catalog.
After saving, the product's Link status column will show a green checkmark, and the Brand catalog product column will display the brand-defined product name.
Review and audit linked products
Once you have added the Link status and Brand catalog product columns to your catalog table, you can use them to audit the accuracy of your links.
If the name shown in your local catalog does not match what appears in the Brand catalog product column, you may have linked to the wrong product. For example, if your local catalog entry reads "Flower Product" but the Brand catalog product column shows "Brouhaha Capsules," you should open that item and update the link to the correct product.
To correct a link, open the catalog item, review the linked product in the brand linking panel, remove the incorrect link, and select the correct product from the brand's catalog.
Manage brands and associated global brands
The Brands page includes an Associated global brand column. This column shows which of your local brands are tied to a brand in the Dutchie global brand catalog, so you can see connection status across all brands at a glance.
When you create or edit a brand, a searchable dropdown lets you select the corresponding global brand.
Your local display name for the brand can differ from the global brand name. For example, you might display a local brand as "1906 by MUHA" while the associated global brand is set to "1906." The display name appears in your catalog, while the global brand association controls how the brand connects to the Dutchie brand catalog and appears on your e-commerce menu.
To associate a global brand when creating or editing a brand:
- Go to Dutchie Backoffice Admin > Products > Brands in Dutchie Backoffice.
- Click Add brand to create a new brand, or select an existing brand to edit it.
- In the Associated global brand field, use the searchable dropdown to find and select the correct global brand.
- Enter or confirm the local display name in the Name field.
- Click Save.
- Once the brand is added you can view it side-by-side with the brand updates and select the content you would like to use.
You can edit the name of a linked brand at any time without unlinking it from the global brand first.
Preview linked products on the online details page
When a catalog item is linked to the global brand catalog, a live menu preview panel appears on the product's Online details page in Dutchie Backoffice.
This panel shows what the product will look like on your E-Commerce menu, including brand-provided imagery and content.
The preview panel also includes a menu score.
To access the preview, open a linked catalog product and navigate to its Online details page. The menu preview panel displays automatically for linked products.
Accept or reject suggested brand matches
The product detail page surfaces a suggested brand match for each product, product name, category and fuzzy matching (a type of matching that identifies similar words and records).
Suggestions are rated by name, category, strain and brand. You can accept a product by clicking on Link Product.
You can reject by ignoring the suggestion. You can also link a different Product than the one that is selected.
Once linked, the product will look like this and can be seen on the Online Details.
