When caregivers are listed in a patient's guest profile in Dutchie POS, they can place orders on the patient's behalf. Learn how.
Dutchie POS allows caregivers to place orders on behalf of a patient. Caregivers can be added in the Medical section of the patient's Guest Profile and checked in at the POS. When a caregiver places an order, the order is created under the guest's name and attached to the guest record.
Things to consider
- Caregivers must be added in the Medical section of the guest profile before being checked in.
- Orders are always created and placed in the patient/guest’s name.
- Guests and caregivers are tied to one another. If the guest is already checked in at the POS or present on the guest list, you can’t check in the caregiver.
Check in a caregiver
- Search the patient's name and press enter.
- Select the patient, then click Caregiver on the guest pane.
- In the Select Caregiver window, select the caregiver you want to check in from the dropdown.

Click Check in to add the caregiver and create an order for the guest.
