Once you've completed the initial setup and connected your peripherals, you're ready to start up the Register terminal and sign in.

This article applies to Dutchie Register terminal devices like the one pictured below.

  1. Once you've plugged the Register terminal into a power outlet, it should start up automatically. If not, press and hold the power button on the back of the Register terminal monitor until the Elo logo appears.
  2. If you see a blue startup screen, press Start. If you see “Please select a set-up option to proceed,” select Enroll with GMS.
  3. Once the device boots up, the device will attempt to connect to the internet. If the device does not have an ethernet connection, you will be prompted to connect to Wi-Fi. We highly recommend a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi, but if you have no wired connection available, select your Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password.
  4. Wait patiently while the device installs Android OS updates and select the Next button to proceed through the setup process. If the network connection is interrupted, the terminal will reboot.
  5. The Register terminal will connect to our device management service and begin to install the register application.
  6. Regardless of what messages you see, no action is required. Please be patient while the setup process is running. This may take 15 minutes or more.
  7. When the process is complete, you will see the POS application shortcut has been installed on the home page. Tap the application shortcut to launch the POS application, and you will be prompted to log in.
