After Hours Ordering in Dutchie Ecommerce enables your customers to place orders while your store is closed. Learn how to set it up in this article.
Things to know
- You must enable Scheduled Ordering for After Hours Ordering to support Delivery orders.
- After Hours Orders will accumulate overnight, and you'll see a group confirmation on the terminal and in the admin "Orders" page allowing you to confirm all of the orders at once.
Enable After Hours ordering
- In Dutchie Ecommerce, go to Settings Ordering.
- Toggle After Hours Ordering to Enabled.
Customer experience when After Hours Ordering is enabled
When After Hours Ordering is enabled:
- On the menu, the text in the Hours and more box changes to Closed, available for pre-order.
- A popup notification will alert customers when they add items to their cart that the store is closed and will display the next available pick-up and delivery hours.
- At checkout, customers will see a Time section that indicates the store is currently closed, but the customer can place the order for pickup during the store's next operating hours.
- If you have enabled Scheduled Ordering to allow for after-hours delivery orders, your customers will be prompted to select a delivery timeframe.
- Customers will receive a text message notification indicating the order is confirmed and the scheduled pickup or delivery time.
