Order status notifications in Dutchie E-Commerce

You can configure Dutchie E-Commerce to send automated email notifications to your customers regarding their order status. Some notifications are also sent by text message and/or push notifications if you have a mobile app.

Enable notifications

  1. From Dutchie E-Commerce admin go to Settings > Advanced Options.
  2. Scroll and check the box for Order Status Emails, then check or uncheck the boxes for:
    • Submitted - Notification is sent when the customer completes checkout.
      • Channels: Email and Push.
    • Confirmed - Notification is sent when the order is confirmed, either manually by a user or automatically based on your configuration. This will include an order number.
      • Channels: Email and Push.
    • Ready for Pickup - Notification is sent when the order is marked ready for pickup in either Dutchie E-Commerce, or in Dutchie POS when a user clicks Notify. Customers will also receive a text (SMS) message when their order is ready for pickup, regardless of this setting.
      • Channels: Email and Text.
    • Out for Delivery - Notification is sent when the order is marked ready for pickup in either Dutchie E-Commerce, or in Dutchie POS when a user clicks Notify. Customers will also receive a text (SMS) message when their order is ready for pickup, regardless of this setting.
      • Channels: Email and Text.
    • Cancellation emails are automatically sent whenever a user cancels an order, and you've checked the main Order Status Emails box.
  3. Click Publish to save your changes.

Notification details

Order status notifications include basic information about your dispensary including your logo and phone number, and an order summary.

For emails, your store name as entered in Dutchie E-Commerce Admin appears as the "From" name in customer inboxes and the sender address appears as noreply@dutchie.com.

These notifications cannot be customized.

We recommend that you also enable Require email address for guest checkout under Settings > Options so you can reach all of your customers by email. The system will not notify you if a customer did not receive a message due to a missing or invalid email address so adding these details to the customer profile is important.
