Get lab results when receiving inventory in Dutchie POS

In addition to manually editing or importing lab results for already-received packages, Metrc- and BioTrack-integrated locations can automatically import a package's lab results during the receiving process.

Things to know

• Lab results fetched from BioTrack do not include a unit of measure.
• Lab results fetched from Metrc do not include harvest date, sample date, and tested date. These must be manually added or uploaded via CSV.
• We recommend monitoring your inventory to verify the accuracy of lab results fetched from Metrc or BioTrack. If necessary, you can edit lab results on individual packages or in bulk.
• You can set default units of measure for the lab results of both cannabinoids and terpenes under Settings > Location > Defaults. Note, however, when fetching lab results from Metrc these defaults are and Dutchie POS uses whatever unit of measure exists in Metrc for each package.

Turn on the required settings

To import lab results, you'll need to turn on these settings:

1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Metrc or Settings > Integrations > BioTrack
2. Select the Settings tab.
3. In the Use Metrc Lab Data/Use BioTrack Lab Data dropdown, choose Yes.
4. An additional dropdown for Default Metrc Labs in Receive/Default BioTrack Labs in Receive appears below. Choose Yes or No. Regardless of this setting, you can always choose whether to import lab results for each package.
   
5. Click Update.

Get lab results when receiving

1. On the Receive Inventory page, select or add an item in the Items received section.
2. On the Receive package modal, a Get METRC lab results/Get BioTrack lab results dropdown appears. The default behavior you chose for Default Metrc Labs in Receive/Default BioTrack Labs in Receive is reflected here, but you can change this for any particular package.
   
3. Click Save package.
4. Add or update additional packages as needed and complete your normal receiving workflow.

Get lab results after receiving

The Use Metrc Lab Data/Use BioTrack Lab Data setting also allows you to fetch lab results for any inventory item after receiving:

1. From Products > Inventory, choose an item from the list.
2. Click the Lab results button.
   
3. Click Fetch.
