Manage Products in the Dutchie Brand Portal

Learn how to manage your products in Dutchie Brand Portal.

Things to know

  • Some users may find their Brand Portal is already loaded with an assortment of their products. These items were added by Dutchie’s Content team prior to the launch of Brand Portal. These products may be edited, copied, and archived.

Manage products in Brand Portal

From Dutchie Brand Portal, click Catalog > Products to view your products.

The Products page displays the brand’s catalog of products in a table view. Table columns include:

  • Name

  • Brand

  • State

  • Category

  • # of Connections - This column displays how many active menu items are connected to your listing in the Brand Portal; it sources content from your listing. When a product is updated in the Brand Portal, the number of connected products reflects the number of menu items that will receive your update. This number does not represent the total number of menus where this item appears on Dutchie. Items can exist on Dutchie menus without being connected to the Brand Portal.

You can filter the Products by Brand, State and Category.

You can also search for a product by using the search bar.

If there’s a specific filter and search term you like, you can save this as a view by clicking “Save as view.

Archive products or copy to another state using Actions (...)

Click the 3 dots (…)  in the final column to view actions for a product.

  • Archive: Removes the product from the Products table and product status is switched from Active to Inactive. When a product is archived it will prevent future connections from being made but it will not remove content from previously connected items that are still active on menus.

  • Bulk archive: Selecting the checkboxes on the left hand side of the table allows you to archive products in bulk, by page. Once products are archived, they are moved to the “Archived Products” tab at the top of the screen. To restore products go to the ‘Archived Products” page, select click Actions, and select Restore

  • Copy: Opens the Edit Product form and copies all product information from the existing item. This is useful for brands that utilize “Enter Strain” templates or have the same product in multiple markets but need to make small changes due to market regulations.

Filter products

The table can be filtered by Brand (if multiple brands are associated to one account), State, and Category using the dropdowns at the top of the table.

Search products

Use the Search bar to search for a product by name. Type the product name to filter the product table for relevant matches.

Tip

You can refine your search by using quotation marks (“) around your search terms for exact results and/or by adding a plus (+) symbol to combine search terms.

A tip has no safety significance but is still grouped under the umbrella term "admonitions" in the content model.

Edit products

You can edit existing products individually by selecting a product from the Products table. You will be taken to the Edit Products screen, where you can update the following fields:

  • Category

  • Subcategory

  • Product Name

  • Type

  • Brand

  • State

  • Effects

  • Image

  • THC Content

  • CBD Content

  • Terpenes

  • Additional Cannabinoids

  • Price

  • Description

  • Product SKU

  • Product GTIN

Make any edits and click Save

Note: When you return to the Products page, you may need to refresh your browser to see changes.

Edit products in bulk

  1. Use the filters in the Catalog > Products view to isolate the products needing updates.

  2. Click the Export button to generate a CSV of those specific products. The download will appear in Export History first, for you to download.

  3. Open the downloaded file and remove any rows for products you do not intend to update.

  4. Make the necessary changes to the data fields for the remaining products.

  5. Ensure every product has a value in the Dutchie ID column to prevent duplicates and errors.

  6. Return to the Product page and upload the updated CSV via the Import button to apply the changes. Once uploaded, the portal will scan the Dutchie IDs and apply the updates accordingly.

Important

Before saving your file, you must ensure that the existing products have a value in the Dutchie ID column. This value serves as the product’s unique identifier in the Brand Portal. If you import a file without a Dutchie ID for an existing product, this will create a duplicate product.

After checking for Dutchie ID, you can click “Import” from the Product page to upload your changes.

Add a product

Products can be added individually and in bulk by uploading a CSV file, by clicking through the Add a Product and Import Product buttons on the product page.
