When Dutchie POS and Dutchie E-Commerce are integrated and Discount Sync is enabled, all of your online pricing, discounts/promos, taxes, and fees are managed in Dutchie POS.
Discounts and promos
Configure automatic discounts in Dutchie POS and mark them Available Online to make them valid in Dutchie E-Commerce. Discounts then automatically appear on your online menu.
Percentage-based discounts will appear in Dutchie E-Commerce as a dollar amount off rather than a percentage off.
Note that manual discounts, loyalty-based discounts, and other discounts with certain settings can't be shown online. Learn more about syncing discounts between Dutchie POS and Dutchie E-Commerce.
Coupons
Coupons created in Dutchie E-Commerce are only supported for locations that are not integrated with Dutchie POS.
If your location is integrated with Dutchie POS, instead create code-based discounts in Dutchie POS, which provide similar functionality.
For any Dutchie E-Commerce coupons that you want to continue to honor, re-create them in the Dutchie POS Backoffice as discounts with Application method set to Code, and enter the same code used for the coupon.
Consumers must be logged into their Dutchie.com account to redeem code-based discounts online.
Fees
Dutchie E-Commerce carts and checkout use Dutchie POS fees as long as those fees are automatic. Manual fees from Dutchie POS do not appear in Dutchie E-Commerce.
Payment fees must also be configured in Dutchie E-Commerce. For Pay by Bank fees, go Settings > Checkout, check the box for Enable consumer surcharge for Pay by Bank, and click Publish. Configure all payment fees in Dutchie E-Commerce Admin under Settings > Store Info > Payment Fees.
Delivery fees with drawn delivery zones
Zone-specific automatic delivery fees in Dutchie POS may not correspond exactly with drawn delivery zones in Dutchie E-Commerce.
To avoid this issue:
- Update your Dutchie E-Commerce delivery zones so they're based on the same mile radius, zip code, or city as your Dutchie POS delivery zones.
- Apply a manual delivery fee in Dutchie POS and use the checkout message text to inform customers that the fee will be added upon delivery.
Taxes
Dutchie E-Commerce carts and checkout use Dutchie POS taxes.
However, menus and product detail pages still reflect Dutchie E-Commerce taxes, so we recommend continuing to maintain your tax configurations in Dutchie E-Commerce for now.
In the future, menu and product detail pages will also reflect Dutchie POS taxes, and the ability to configure taxes in Dutchie E-Commerce will be deprecated for locations integrated with Dutchie POS.
Online settings
In the Dutchie POS Backoffice, under Settings > Taxes & compliance, each of your tax rates has the following online settings:
Tax display
This controls how each tax rate will be labeled online. Choose from:
- None (the amount of this tax rate will just be labeled "Tax")
- Cannabis tax
- Sales tax
- Bottle deposit tax
Tax inclusion settings

For each tax, select one of the following options:
-

These control whether taxes are included at different stages of the consumer experience, even if out-the-door pricing is turned off in Dutchie POS.

- $10 out-the-door price (post-tax)
