Dutchie POS Backoffice has many options for working with and managing your inventory. From Products > Inventory, you can manage individual inventory and inventory in bulk.

This article covers Bulk and Individual Inventory management actions. It does not cover bulk actions related to receiving inventory. See: The Receiving Inventory section for more information.
Things to know
- Inventory management is nuanced. Your operation or location will have its own standard operating procedures (SOPs). Work with your Implementation specialist, CSM and team to design a workflow that works best for you.
Bulk inventory management actions
To perform inventory management actions on multiple pieces of inventory:
- Navigate to Product > Inventory in Dutchie Backoffice.
- Click the check boxes next to the inventory you would like to manage.
- Click the Bulk actions dropdown at the top of the inventory list.

Add to order | Add items to a manifest in bulk instead of selecting them one at a time in the manifest tool. | |
Assign to batch | Edit or add a batch number to an existing package in your inventory. | |
Move | Move your active inventory into virtual storage areas (rooms and subrooms) that represent the physical split of your inventory at your licensed facility. | |
Combine | Combine one package with another package of the same inventory.
Note: You cannot use this tool to un-combine inventory. |

Convert | Turn raw cannabis material, such as dried flowers or leaves, into a more refined or concentrated form for medicinal or recreational use.
Use only if the product is being turned into a completely different form of cannabis. |

Remediate | Document methods and steps to remediation to make a product safe for consumption. Used primarily in integrated states. | |
Edit Tags | Edit multiple tags in the inventory list. | |
Transfer to cultivation | Transfer plants from one cultivator or another at the same location or externally. |

Upload to BioTrack | Upload inventory entries to BioTrack. |

Print out records for selected inventory. |
Individual inventory management actions
Individual inventory management actions
- Navigate to Product > Inventory in Dutchie Backoffice.
- Click through the SKU number next to the inventory you would like to manage.
- Click the Actions button.
Individual Actions | Description | More information |
Adjust | Choose an incremental or absolute adjustment for a given amount of inventory. Note: Use a negative amount to reduce inventory. |

Add to order | Add items to a manifest in bulk instead of selecting them one at a time in the manifest tool. | |

Assign status | Inventory statuses give your staff an asynchronous way to communicate about the current state of your inventory in the Dutchie Backoffice. | |
Assign vendor | Assign a vendor to your inventory. | |

Change product |
Change inventory details such as name, SKU, strain, etc.
Note: Changing the product will update all active packages in your location. |

Combine |
Combine one package with another package of the same inventory.
Note: You cannot use this tool to un-combine inventory. |

Create packages | Create smaller quantities of cannabis packages to be split between locations. | |
Destroy |
Destroy the entire inventory package. Requires a reason for destruction.
Only recommended if the entire package is being adjusted and is no longer going to be used. |

Discontinue | Adjust the quantity to zero when you discontinue a package. This usually happens when there is a product recall. |

Lab sample | Limited feature. Use this to generate a new package for a lab sample item for testing. This pulls to the Metrc lab sample section |
