Manage your users, their roles, and their permissions in Dutchie E-Commerce

This article helps manage users, roles, and permissions in Dutchie E-commerce.

You can invite your team members to join your Dutchie E-Commerce account. Invited users will be able to access different features based on their permissions. 

Things to know

  • You must have User Management permission to access and update users on your account.  

Add a new user

  1. Go to Settings and click the Users tab.
  2. Click the Add A User button.
  3. Enter a name, phone number, and email address.
    NOTE: A phone number is required if you want the user to receive order notifications.
  4. Fill out the function, location, and permissions.
  5. Click Add User. An invitation email will be sent to the user.

Function

There are a number of functions to choose from.

  • Compliance/Legal: Users who are responsible for maintaining the store's compliance and legal operations, including tasks such as purchasing limits, regulatory reporting, compliance SOPs, and store audits.
  • Customer Sales: Users that are responsible for direct product sales such as budtenders, front-of-house managers, and in-house B2B product sales.
  • Customer Support: Users who are responsible for managing and communicating directly with customers regarding complaints and other service inquiries.
  • Finance/Accounting: Users that are responsible for managing financial reporting and analysis such as finance managers, tax managers, and cash counters.
  • Fulfillment/Delivery: Users that are responsible for managing inbound customer orders for fulfillment such as fulfillment specialists, delivery drivers, driver dispatchers.
  • Information Technology: Users that are responsible for managing the technology systems that are used within a dispensary such as systems engineers, information security technicians, web developers, network specialists, etc.
  • Inventory Management: Users that are responsible for managing the movement and storage of cannabis products such as inventory managers, vendor managers, and warehouse managers.
  • Marketing/Promotions: Users that are responsible for marketing and promoting the store and its cannabis products in-store and online such as marketing managers, e-commerce managers, and brand marketers
  • Store Operations: Users that are responsible for managing daily store operations, such as store managers, and district managers.

Location access

If there are multiple locations, choose which locations to give the user access to. 

If you grant a user access to multiple locations, they automatically become an admin user at the chain level and gain access to the Analytics and Promote tabs. 

If you want to give a user limited access to more than one location, such as a delivery driver with access to Orders only, create separate single-location user accounts using variations of their email such as "deliverydriver+1@gmail.com," "deliverydriver+2@gmail.com," etc.

Permissions

The following permissions are available.

  • Analytics: Allows access to the Analytics menu, which contains total Dutchie sales and orders, average order size, and more.
  • Billing
  • Customers: Allows the user to view a list of all customers who have placed an order through Dutchie E-Commerce or who have been uploaded by the dispensary.
  • Menu Management: Allows the user to edit and update any item on your Dutchie menu.
  • Messaging
  • Orders: Allows the user to view and process orders.
  • Specials & Coupons: Allows users to create and manage specials and coupons.
  • Store Settings: Allows the user to edit store information and options, including:
  • User Management: Allows the user to add and delete users, select drivers, and manage user permissions.

Delete a user

  1. From the Users page, click on the user's name
  2. When the popup modal appears click Delete User.
