When starting a delivery in Dutchie E-Commerce, you'll be required to select a driver. If there are no drivers available to select, or you can't select a specific driver, this is due to a user settings issue.
Designate delivery drivers in user settings
- If you haven't already done so, create a user profile for the delivery driver and make sure they have at least the Orders permission. They should also have a Phone and/or Email entered so they can receive notifications when a delivery is assigned to them.
- On the Users list under Settings, check the Driver box next to each user who may serve as a delivery driver. This makes them available to select as a driver when starting a delivery.
For locations using Cova
If you're integrated with Cova point of sale, you won't be able to select a driver in Dutchie E-Commerce. Instead:
- Follow these steps if you use the Dutchie E-Commerce Onfleet integration.
- Follow these steps if you use the Dutchie E-Commerce Pineapple Express integration.
- If you don't use any delivery integrations with Dutchie E-Commerce, treat deliveries as if they were pickup orders.
